I Love You To Death: Movie Review

Gwen and Tonton (Kiray Celis and Enchong Dee) promised to each other that they will marry when they reach the right age but Gwen turns down Tonton, so she can be a part of a group in school. Years have passed and Gwen had changed a lot, and couldn't seem to find the right person for her. However, the two met again and Tonton proposed to her fulfilling his promises. Soon, Gwen accepts the proposal and the two are set to get married, but something feels not right and strange about the man she hurt a long time ago.

After the recent success of "Love is Blind" in February, Regal Films once again brings Kiray Celis back into the driver seat now with his newest leading man Enchong Dee. It's another enjoyable pair mixed with a bunch of energetic supporting cast that are all committed to deliver some good laughs from start to finish.

The film is really weird in its own special way mixing three different genres in one movie. It worked for sometime but can't really seem to hold its ground on the final frame. It collapsed in the last few minutes when some of the twist were revealed but other than that the entire thing was an outstanding effort in bringing in quality entertainment.

I Love You to Death is at its best when it comes to comedy. It never fails to deliver the jokes, and obviously the audience will fall easily with the silliness that it can offer. Kiray Celis once again steals the spotlight and proves that she can run her own show. She can exert effort in everything she does and can deliver the comedy naturally. Pairing her with Enchong Dee is a win-win situation since the two can light up the screen with their palpable chemistry. They really look good together and made the crowd go wild whenever they try to start a spark into their scenes. 

Overall, I Love You to Death is a decent comedy film that can tickle your funny bone. It will give you realization that promises will make love last, and physical looks don't matter when you find your true love with the sense of comedy. It may have an appropriate rating because it is violent content, but it sure can provide your entertainment needs.
